My Guitar Collection

My present Collection

This is how i found this Guitar....

You can still see smal parts of the white paint.

Kramer Nightswan 1988

This Kramer I found here in Denmark. The Guys that i bought it from bought it him self about 1986 in Copenhagen. The Guitar is a prototype made for Vivian Campel (Whitesnake, Def lepard) in a very few numbers. It was Build by the famous guitar builder Buddy Blaze

When i bought it, it was paintet white, but i was able to remove the paint with help from 2 local companies.

Now it is about 90% restored, and i am now working on the ajustment, and a new pickup configuration

Unfortunately the original Semour Duncan pickups were defective when i got the guitar, so I have placed a German made Schaller low gain pic in the neck position. And a Semour Duncan high gain (Randy Roads custom) as the main pickup. This gives several more sound posibilities then the original configuration.

The strange paint on this Guitar makes it change color depending on the light added.

Kramer Ferrington 1885

In 1985-86, Kramer began it's relationship with Danny Ferrington, the Nashville-based luthier who built several guitars for celebrities and, himself had became a reputible reputation for new designs of electric/acoustic guitars.

Ferrington designed all of the models of the Kramer Ferrington lines and Kramer had the majority of them made in Korea. The idea was to have an acoustic with the feel of an electric. These guitars were heavily averstised by big names such as EVH and Dweezil Zappa.

This sample is build by danny Ferrington him self, and was priviously ovned by the danish band Pretty Maids, Ken Hammer

It was for years the main instrument for Ken, while recording some of their most famous hit songs.

  Höffner Semi Acoustic 1957

Kramer Gorky Park 1988

Kramer Beretta Bullseye 1984

Kramer Beretta Black 1984

A reissue of the custom Kramer guitar used by Eddie Van Halen during his “1984” World Tour with Van Halen.

Eddie Van Halen started working with Kramer in late 1981 or early 1982. From that point forward and through the 1980’s, EVH played and promoted several Kramer guitars including the Kramer guitars with EVH’s “Frankenstein” artwork that he used in the “Jump” video, and “Hot for Teacher” video which EVH also used in the S. American leg of the 1984 VH Tour, as well as the Kramer guitar used primarily by EVH in the 1984 VH Tour with his 5150 mark.

Word has it that for the “5150” guitar, EVH had asked that the serial number be 5150 coinciding with the name of his home studio, which supposedly was named after the California Department of Mental Health Section 5150:

Refers to a patient who is held against his/her will for evaluation under the authority of Welfare and Institutions Code, Section 5150, because the patient is a danger to him/herself, a danger to others, and/or is gravely disabled, e.g., unable to care for self. This written order may be placed by a law enforcement officer, County mental health worker, or an emergency physician certified by the County to place an individual on a 5150 hold.

As a result, the serial number “C” (for California) “5150” was stamped on the neck bolt-plate and therefore, it came to be known simply as, the Kramer 5150.

Although not his first Kramer, this guitar was considered to be his “main” guitar from 1984 until subsequently parting ways with Kramer in 1990. The last known use of this guitar was on a song called "Judgment Day" off the F.U.C.K CD in 1991.

According to many, EVH had a “thing” about people copying his guitars. That’s why he painted his early guitars (~1978 – 1982) and later, had them spray-painted by employees in the Kramer Custom Shop. Because of this, Kramer never actually offered this historic Kramer guitar for sale to the public. But now... we offer the Kramer "1984" reissue guitar as inspired by the legend.
